Who is in charge of your life? We all have to make a choice. Will I serve God or serve myself?
This is not a question of perfection. All of us fall short. It’s not a question of salvation. We are saved by grace alone. It is a question of submission. Have you fully surrendered? If not, what are you waiting for? When we surrender our lives to Jesus, we find the love, joy, and peace our hearts were made for.
Pastor Jeff shared this prayer of surrender with us recently. Pray these words daily to remind yourself to take up your cross and follow Jesus.
A Prayer of Surrender
Lord, because you are my God
because you have made me
because you have saved me by the blood of Jesus
because you have loved me fiercely
forgiven me completely,
accepted me eternally,
Gladly, I surrender my life to you.
I am trusting Jesus as my Savior and I bow to him as my King.
All that I am I give to you – my dreams, my hopes, my fears, my family, my relationships, my health, my career, my future, my money, my time, my talents, my hobbies. My whole life belongs to you.
Though I will struggle, and at times fail, I choose to rest in your boundless grace and mercy.
Lord, I love you. And I want to love you more.
I am your much-loved child.
I am your blood-bought servant.
I am your fully devoted follower.
I am your passionate worshiper.
Have all of me, Jesus. Have all of me.
