This class focuses on equipping couples of all ages to navigate the complexities of marriage and parenthood through a biblical perspective. In this class, you’ll be encouraged to continue growing into who God has called you to be, as a spouse and as a parent, and you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other parents. Come join us on the journey to strengthen your marriage and find support as you shepherd your children to know and love Jesus.
The class will begin this fall with the book "Love and Respect: The Love She Most Desires | The Respect He Desperately Needs" by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. After this, the class will focus on the topic of parenting (book to be determined).
Meets in Portable 8, Room 3 at 9 a.m.

There are seasons in all of our lives where we could benefit from talking through the complexities of life with someone else. WoodsEdge desires to provide our church family with the opportunity to discuss those challenges with biblically based, trained Christian lay counselors. Lay Counselors do not take the place of a professional counselor; rather this is a place to seek resolution for issues before they become large and complex. Our volunteer marriage counselors are couples that are committed to caring, listening, praying and offering biblical counsel regarding the most common areas of struggle. These lay counselors have completed in-depth training and undergo continuing education and supervision. They operate under the same code of ethics as professional counselor to ensure a safe and confidential environment.
We offer up to 8 sessions of biblical marriage counseling for WoodsEdge couples at a very affordable fee.
Cost is $20 for the first session, $10 for each subsequent session. These fees are not tax deductible and go to offset the cost of the lay counseling ministry.
Occasionally couples are in such a difficult place that they need professional Christian counseling. We provide a list of marriage counselors that we know and recommend.
