What Is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of the inner transformation that takes place in the hearts of all believers. It is an important step of obedience to Jesus Christ, to symbolize that he has saved us and we are his. We also believe that baptism is not a necessary work for salvation; for it is by grace alone through faith we are saved.
Baptism at WoodsEdge
Baptisms at WoodsEdge take place on one of our designated Baptism Sundays. We usually have about four per year. We baptize in our beautiful baptismal pool, which is located outside, directly through the Worship Center lobby. Everyone who is baptized must attend a baptism class beforehand. On a Baptism Sunday, we have a time for adult baptisms as well as a time for family baptisms, which includes children, students, and adults who want to be baptized with their family members.
