Purpose:  Engage in street evangelism in one of the most culturally diverse areas of Madrid.

Q:  Do I need a passport/visa?
A:  You must have a valid passport through Dec. of 2022 (6 months after the trip).  Getting a new passport can take up to 8 weeks.  A visa is not required to enter Spain.

Q:  Do I need any specific immunizations?
A:  Covid-19
Recommended routine vaccines, and Hep A, Hep B. For a complete list please visit www.cdc.gov/travel.

Q:   What does trip preparation look like?
A:  Your trip leader will schedule and host 6 team meetings prior to the trip.  These meetings are required and beneficial for team-building, safety, and spiritual/cultural preparedness.

Q:  Where will we stay and what should I wear?
A:  We will stay in a hotel located on a quiet street in the center of Madrid. We wear light and comfortable clothes and shoes for daily walks. The temperature in June is usually between 80 ° and 90 ° during the day, and between 60 ° and 70 ° in the morning. Bring a light jacket and plan on layering.

Q:  What does a typical day look like?
A:  A regular day looks like this:

8 am to  8:45 am  - Breakfast in hotel / Short  team meeting (debrief of the day before)
10 am to 12:30 pm – Working with other local ministries / engaging in street evangelism.
1 pm -  Lunch time. (This time is a great opportunity for having conversations with local people.)
2:30 to 3:30 pm - Tea Break  / nap time / take a shower.
4 pm  to 5 pm -  Team devotional in hotel.
6 pm to 9 pm -  Working with other local ministries / engaging in street evangelism.
9 pm to 11 pm* –Taking a walk to visit interesting buildings and places around the hotel area. (This is another great opportunity to engage people in conversations.)

*Due to the Spanish lifestyle, people are outside in the streets, squares, restaurants, and other parts of the city well past midnight. The city is generally very safe to walk around.

Q:  Do I need to speak Spanish?
A:  While speaking Spanish is a plus, it is not required.

Q: What does the trip cost include and when is it due?
A: Trip cost includes airfare, lodging, meals, supplies, and transportation. Free-day activities are not covered.
