Event Crew - Part time 

WoodsEdge is seeking flexible individuals to work part-time, as needed, to help our facilities and events teams.  

Event crew members are responsible for completing event setup, cleanup & general support before, during and after services or events. This position helps with event setup/takedown and provides support to the event staff and serves as a custodian while events are underway. Additionally, position performs routine custodial tasks within the property to help maintain the cleanliness, sanitary condition, safety and appearance of WoodsEdge Community Church

This position will require some evening, weekend and holiday hours. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

List of primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Set up and take down of table and chairs
  • Removal or reconfiguration of furnishings as needed to support events
  • Set up of outdoors spaces including tables, tents, kiosks etc
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment by removing trash and litter
  • Supports facilities team as directed
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Must be a team player and able to anticipate what needs to be done and do it willingly, regardless of the level of the task.

Graphic Designer

Position:  Graphic Designer

WoodsEdge is looking for a gifted and talented individual to serve as our Graphic Designer.  In this role, you are responsible for taking conceptual design ideas and creating visual representations of them, both electronically and in print. This individual works with a variety of products, applications, and software platforms, while simultaneously collaborating with a number of teams. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with communication and ministry teams to create compelling graphics to be used in weekend services, on the website, and in church communications
  • Excellent, relevant, and compelling promotional materials for execution of church-wide, collaborative ministry team, and individual ministry team events, including but not limited to signage, booklets, and other promotional items
  • Relevant and engaging website design
  • Creative collaboration with other communications team members to ensure proper execution of graphic elements
  • Ongoing development of project management and leadership skills essential to meet timelines and produce excellent projects
  • Innovative recommendations resulting in fresh, artistic concepts for projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in fine art, design or a related discipline preferred
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects
  • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
  • Flexibility and adaptability

This position is full time and does require the ability to work on site at the church.

Technical Assistant

Technical Assistant

This position will support the audio, video, and lighting needs for WoodsEdge services including Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Hispanic Ministry, and Special Events.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support Children’s, Students’, and Hispanic ministry tech teams
  • Set up audio, video and lighting for multiple large group venues campus-wide.
  • Program and load media for all Children’s Ministry venues for Sunday services.
  • Troubleshoot problems that may arise during services/events.
  • Work with Technical Director to oversee technical equipment church-wide. Audio, video, and lighting installation/repair and technologies support.
  • Recruit and develop staff and tech volunteers.
  • Participate in staff prayer and training meetings.

Success Outcomes

  • Strong collaborative relationships with ministry teams.
  • Successfully executed and supported ministry services and events.
  • Happy, healthy and engaged volunteers who support production ministry.
  • Well maintained and serviced technical production equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years technical system integration experience preferred.
  • 3+ years working in technical productions including audio, video, and lighting.
  • Experience leading and training volunteer teams a plus.

KidsEdge Preschool Teachers

KidsEdge teachers provide Christ-centered care and education for our week-day preschool.

School days are Monday/Wednesday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Care for children (birth-Pre-K) including supervising and monitoring the safety of children in their care
  • Prepare and plan daily schedules and lessons for the school year
  • Follow schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest and playtime.
  • Partner is making disciples in the classroom
  • Follow preschool policies and protocols for safety, security and care of the children.
  • Clean and care for spaces after each school day and ensure rooms are properly stocked.
  • Strong healthy relationships with other teachers, WoodsEdge staff and parents.
  • Maintain open communication with parents.
  • Meet all applicable handbook/policy regulations
  • Stay up to date on CPR and First Aid certification
  • Meet the necessary 24 hour training annual requirement
  • Attend all KidsEdge Preschool trainings and meetings

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children & infants
  • CPR, First Aid certifications, preferred
  • Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.

Volunteer & Communications Coordinator

Part time - 25 hours per week

The primary purpose of the Volunteer & Communication Coordinator is to assist our ministry team in the mobilization process of securing approved volunteers for serving roles within our ministry for both permanent and seasonal activities. In addition, this position will have oversight of our ministry communications ensuring our volunteers/families are informed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Volunteers

  • Oversee the process for all Children’s Ministry new volunteers
  • Maintain updated records/files on all ministry volunteers
  • Initiate nametag request with administrators and submit names to appropriate ministry lead
  • Organize recruitment campaigns, always thinking of new/creative ways to recruit new volunteers
  • Occasionally be available in the lobby to meet and recruit new potential volunteers
  • Meet regularly with ministry leads to maintain updated lists of volunteer opportunities 

Communications

  • Oversight of our ministry website in partnership with communications department
  • First contact for incoming web/phone/email inquiries regarding our ministry
  • Send weekly e-news to our ministry family – parents and volunteers
  • Develop and maintain a consistent presence on social media – Facebook and Instagram
  • Oversight of ministry printed material
  • Registration of all children’s related classes – Legacy, Baptism, Parenting Classes
  • Develop a commitment to personal time with God every day to pursue a heart that loves Jesus, and to ongoing spiritual, personal and professional growth
  • Passion for the accomplishment of WoodsEdge’s mission and vision.
  • Represent WoodsEdge by following the visions and expectations of the church, prioritizing prayer, praying for top 5 and seeking to make disciples.
  • A desire to see children and families falling in love with Jesus and making a difference for the kingdom.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency using MS Office
  • 3+ years’ experience in church, non-profit, or for-profit business administrative support requiring decision-making, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Prior experience leading teams or working with volunteers, preferred
  • Ability to self-start and see projects through completion without much direction.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience using social media to engage community a plus
  • Agreement with our Statement of Faith, and demonstration of our faith through actions and lifestyle
  • Interpersonal skills that enables effective collaboration with other ministry leaders, staff, kids and parents.

At WoodsEdge, we seek God first for everything we do. We set aside every Tuesday to pray together as a staff team and dedicate our Wednesday evening service to Prayer and Worship.
