Elementary Coordinator

Our Generations Ministry is looking for organized people person to enlist, build relationships with, and encourage and retain Sunday volunteer teams for Grades 1-4. The Elementary Coordinator will also play a role in family partnership opportunities, such as providing resources for parents on how to effectively “continue the conversation” at home.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in volunteer recruiting, including engaging our current Elementary parents as monthly volunteer partners.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to disciple volunteers in their relationship with God and His people.
  • Equip and encourage volunteers in their role as classroom leaders, encouraging them to connect and engage with their few with the time they have in the classroom.
  • Learn individual strengths, growth opportunities and optimal volunteer serving positions by building authentic relationships with our volunteers.
  • Works with Elementary Sunday Coordinator to see that classrooms are ready for Sunday morning service and in order after services.
  • Manage teams and help them embrace the physical and spiritual needs of children in safe, loving, impactful environments so children and families experience God’s love and develop trust and community.
  • Partner with the JoyBridge Ministry team by communicating student needs to our volunteers for the families we jointly serve.
  • Assists Elementary Sunday Coordinator with volunteer trainings, ensuring that our volunteers are up to date on safety protocols and classroom etiquette.
  • Encourage connections, planning sessions and team unity among volunteers.

 

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Experience in church, non-profit, or for-profit business administrative support requiring decision-making, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
  • A desire to see children and families falling in love with Jesus and making a difference for the kingdom.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency using MS Office
  • Knowledge of Planning Center a plus

KidsEdge Preschool Teachers

KidsEdge teachers provide Christ-centered care and education for our week-day preschool.

School days are Monday/Wednesday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Care for children (birth-Pre-K) including supervising and monitoring the safety of children in their care
  • Prepare and plan daily schedules and lessons for the school year
  • Follow schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest and playtime.
  • Partner is making disciples in the classroom
  • Follow preschool policies and protocols for safety, security and care of the children.
  • Clean and care for spaces after each school day and ensure rooms are properly stocked.
  • Strong healthy relationships with other teachers, WoodsEdge staff and parents.

Early Childhood Programming Coordinator

The Early Childhood Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of large group Jungle Jam and Jungle Jam Jr. program teams as well as monthly environment updates.

 

The EC Program Coordinator will serve the ministry through:

Directing  Channel One Sunday Morning Jungle Jam and Jungle Jam Jr. large group environments.

  • Create an atmosphere where children experience worship and engaging, age-appropriate biblical teaching with the vision of discipling children to help them fall in love with Jesus.
  • Disciple, vision cast, recruit, train, foster sense of community and empower volunteer leaders and teams
  • Work on monthly basis with teams to write puppet scripts, select and download worship songs, create electronic program files, schedule storytellers, worship leaders, tech. crew, puppet teams and environment team members.
  • Send out monthly music list, large group scripts, schedules, and communications to teams.
  • Connect weekly with Teams for communication, updates, special instructions, and encouragement.
  • Assist in planning special events programs and set needs such as: Easter, Christmas, Fall Kick-off, Pre-K promotion, Summer Special events, etc.
  • Become familiar with technical aspects of environments: hardware, software, sound, lights, etc.
  • Coordinate with Children’s team and volunteers to lead Student Crew Camps (twice a year) and disciple crew as they learn to be disciples of the early childhood children.

Café Volunteer Coordinator(s)

  • Position Summary

    The café volunteer coordinator serves WoodsEdge and its congregation by helping to provide a welcoming and engaging weekend experience through coffee service.  The primary responsibility of this role is engaging, equipping, and supporting volunteers to execute the weekend coffee experience.

    • Master WoodsEdge coffee, espresso, and tea offerings.

    • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to team members on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve team members' performance.

    • Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by the team.

Worship/Arts Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The major purpose and responsibility of the worship/arts coordinator is to work in collaboration with the Technical Director and ministry teams to facilitate excellent worship and event experiences while also helping the overall productivity and organizational needs of the technical teams’ ministry.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the service planner for Sunday and Wednesday nights. Discover and organize a plan to be executed each Sunday/Wednesday night having Pastors, Worship Leaders, Technical Director and Communications Director contribute.
• Collaborate with Technical team, worship, and ministry teams in the execution of services and events.
• Help Tech Team organize various projects as needed (installations, stage design/build, set stage for services, other)
• Manage tech response to repair tickets • Help facilitate recruitment, auditioning, and training of staff and volunteers.
• Submit invoices, credit card reconciliations, and/or other monthly submissions to the finance department.
• Keep PCO up to date with new event dates and times.
• Help Facilitate the scheduling of tech team for all events on Planning Center. This includes staff and volunteer positions.
• Facilitate upcoming event tech discovery meetings with ministries and help coordinate those details with tech event managers.
• Drive new procedures and policies as needed to help make event coordination efficient.
• Maintain a strong working relationship with co-workers by walking in our virtues of Holy, Humble, Healthy, and Hungry. Actively communicating with appropriate staff on relevant matters and events.

Generations Team Tech Manager

 POSITION SUMMARY 

The major purpose and responsibility of the Generations Tech Manager is to work in cooperation with the Generations Director & Technical Director in facilitating excellent worship and event experiences. They will lead the Generations Ministry tech team, which includes both volunteers and paid staff, to support the technical needs for all services and special events for the Generations team. 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee all live production technical personnel needed to run events for Young Adults, Student, Fifty6, Kids Ministries. This includes recruiting, scheduling, and training of audio, video, and lighting production staff and volunteers. 
  • Oversee live production, including Sundays, Wednesdays, special events, live broadcast, and recordings for all Generations events. 
  • Oversee lyric and video playback using ProPresenter. This includes loading media for all events and keeping the lyric database up to date. 
  • Oversee video switcher for output to main screens, confidence monitor, lobby and live broadcast solutions. Manage camera placement and shading adjustments as necessary. 
  • Oversee lighting for Services, worship, video broadcast/Recordings, and special events. This includes lighting fixture placement, grouping, and upkeep of lamps. 
  • Lead in the tech planning and execution of special services (Craze, Summer Nights, Freedom Weekend, Camp, etc.) 
  • Collaborate with Technical Director in all audio, video, and lighting design and installation projects. 
  • Work with Technical Director and team to plan, build, and implement stage designs. 
  • Assist Tech Team in the set up and execution of various church-wide events that take place in the Student Building (as necessary). 
  • Keep Generations Director informed of the status of ministry and sensitive/critical issues. 
  • Communicate special needs to Generations Manager. 
  • Attend WE staff events, prayer, meetings, team meetings, etc.

Finance Specialist

Position Summary

The Finance Specialist will assist in any or all of the facets of the business office including but not limited to: Payroll, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Budgeting and Forecasting, Expense Management, Cash Management, Taxes, Audits, and Fixed Assets Accounting.  The Finance Specialist will provide support across multiple areas on an ad hoc basis determined by business need.    

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Backup for payroll including wages and deductions (payroll taxes, garnishments, social security, benefits).
  • Backup assistance in administration of Procare for KidsEdge Preschool
  • Assist with processing cash & check donations, and primary backup for online giving.
  • Responsible for pre-service preparations including distributing giving bags and café starting cash for all venues.
  • Back-up for Accounts Payable and bank reconciliations
  • Record wire transfers and ETF payments in ACS
  • Manage employee expense reports, gift cards, expense advances, and enter into ACS
  • Manage credit card entries, reconciliations, and proper posting to the GL. Also manages ordering cards, cancelling cards and updates to card tracking spreadsheet.  
  • General support to any finance team member relating to budgeting, accounting entries and audit, as requested.
  • Act as point person in any new Capital Campaigns
  • Backup for entering payments, reporting, and inventory in Square
  • Assist Operations director with month end journal entries and reconciliations
  • Point person in business office for OTW MOU’s. Verify financial information on MOU and create payable spreadsheet
  • Assist with budget entry in ACS for both ITW and OTW ministries
  • Maintain confidentiality, honesty, and trust

Live Video Production Manager

Position Summary

The live production video manager will work alongside the Technical Director to support the live video production needs and help oversee church-wide operation and maintenance of audio, video, and lighting systems. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Worship Pastor and Worship Team to plan for and execute live video to support second worship space and online Sunday services.
  • Work with Technical Director to oversee volunteer technical team, which includes recruitment, scheduling, and training of volunteers.

  • Work with Technical Director to oversee audio, video, lighting, and the installation and maintenance of major AVL technologies and equipment church-wide.

Short-Term Mission Trips Coordinator

Position Summary

The Short-term Mission Trips Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the Short-Term Trip Ministry at WoodsEdge.  The position will raise awareness of the value of short-term trips among the congregation, build and implement successful Short -Term Trip ministry, and recruit and train team leaders.


Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Short Term Trips through development of schedule and ministry connections for trips.
  • Training and development of Trip Leaders and co-leaders
  • Travel arrangements for individual teams
  • Arrange for commissioning for each team through Prayer and Care
  • Revising/ Editing Short Term Trips Development Program/ Manuals/ Training Modules
  • Recruiting, Engagement, and Leadership Development of volunteers
  • Sustaining yearly trip leaders, with the raising up of trained co-leaders for trips
  • Arrangements of Pastoral and Missionary travel
  • Developing communication pushes, including sharing stories, and planning and implementing large events to encourage congregational participation in trips.
  • Occasionally participate in other Missional Life team activities as required such as team meetings, budgeting, planning and leading Short-Term Trips.
  • Keen understanding of and passion for global and local missions.

Fundamental to who we are as a church and a staff team is prayer. Taken from Matthew 21:13 where Christ states, "It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’". At WoodsEdge, we seek God first for everything we do. We set aside every Tuesday to pray together as a staff team and dedicate our Wednesday evening service to Prayer and Worship.
