Fifty6 is a unique ministry at WoodsEdge for 5th and 6th graders where they are challenged to make their faith their own and grow in who they are in Christ. With engaging worship, games, and small groups, Fifty6 is a fun environment where kids are able to develop friendships and deepen their relationship with the Lord.

Programming takes place at the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services, as well as on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. during the prayer service. Fifty6 is now meeting in person, but all Fifty6 programming is also available online here.

 Current Series  

Echo is an Easter series that covers some of the important things that Jesus said before His death and resurrection. The fact that the Son of God really lived and really came to save us can be hard for our students to grasp, yet it is such a critical life-changing Truth. We want our students to know the words of Jesus and understand why He came, as well as what He wants for us in our relationship with Him.

Shafer Hunt serves as the Elementary Pastor for grades 1 - 6. His wife, Hannah, is the Fifty6 admin. They have been part of Fifty6 for about five years and love working with this group! They share a passion for missions, fun, camp, and coffee, and love to see all of those incorporated into ministry. Shafer and Hannah have three little girls that you may see from time to time.

Javi Rais serves as the Fifty6 Director. He loves spending time and serving with his wife, Savannah, and their daughter, Brixton. Javi has been a part of WoodsEdge Community church since 2006. Both are dedicated to lead the kids of Fifty6 in a biblical world view while sharing the refreshing truth of the gospel and empowering them to do the same. Javi and Savannah are passionate about raising up the next generation of disciples.

iChoose

iChoose is our annual Fifty6 retreat where we leave from WoodsEdge and head to Pineywoods Camp in Woodlake, Texas. Filled with incredible activities such as zip-lining, a giant swing, canoeing, gaga ball, basketball, big group games, pillow fights and much more, this is a weekend where your student will make lasting memories. They will be challenged to see themselves as God sees them while listening to special speakers.  iChoose is always a highlight of the year!

Amp'd 2022

Twice a year, Fifty6 takes over the Student Ministry Building to have our wild game night called AMP’D! Specifically for our 5th & 6th graders, our students will have the opportunity to engage each other and their Fifty6 leaders as they team up to play ridiculously fun games and activities. In addition to the craziness, we will also have an intentional time listening to a speaker share the gospel. Pizza and drinks will be provided. We encourage students to invite their same age friends!

Student Life Camp

We will be taking completed 4th through completed 6th graders to Waxahachie, Texas, for Student Life for Kids Camp. We will join other churches in the area for an exciting week filled with awesome programming, recreational time, water slides, engaging speakers and worship.
